Few weeks ago we already reported the project we are working on together with Patrimonio Inteligente at the site of Ca l’Estrada 2 (Canovelles, Barcelona).
Since then a very well preserved Neolithic settlement has been uncovered. The 6000 year old remains consist of two huts with a pebble-made base, fire pits (perhaps ovens or kilns) and a funerary area where two burials have been found. This findings make this site one of the best preserved outdoor settlements from the Early Neolithic in Catalonia.

At the same archaeolgical site a small medieval settlement was uncovered. Some silos for grain storage, from the 11th and 12th centuries were found.
