In this paper we present the results of the excavations made in the city of Sabadell in the period 1988 – 98 as well as their contribution for the knowledge of the villa in medieval era. The 18 archaeological cases analyzed, have been made in the ancient historical center of the city, some with levels and structures located between the 12th and 16th centuries. All this excavations offer, from archaeological record, valuable data for the knowledge and study of the medieval city, so much of its housing spaces, store and work, as its defensive system. Along with the documentary record, we can illustrate the evolution of the medieval and modern Sabadell.
