cartel_seminario_arqmuerteThe next may 14th will be held the Seminar Arqueología de la Muerte, at the main hall of Residència d’Investigadors del CSIC. The Grupo de Investigación Arqueología de las Dinámicas Sociales del CSIC – Institut Milà i Fontanals is organizing the event with whom Arrago is taking part in the research project on funerary practices of the Neolithic “Aproximación a las primeras comunidades neolíticas del N-E peninsular a través de sus practicas funerarias. Proyecto HAR2011-23149”.

Our partner, Jordi Roig, will be there giving a lecture on the experience of excavation of burial sites, from Neolithic to Medieval age.  The aim is to show the diversity of burial practices and the different types of tombs used by communities and groups who lived in Catalonia the last 5000 years. It is also his will to show the different archaeological excavation systems and methodologies that are applied and are needed to study and record each type of burial structures.

The program of the seminar is not closed yet.
