This paper is a summary of a study in early medieval ceramics from 9th-10th and 11th centuries in the territory of Old Catalonia or Old Spanish March, which is being developed within the framework of a doctoral thesis. A first draft typology of Catalan ceramics from the carolingian and postcarolingian periods are presented here, offering a chronological range between three hundred years of use and dissemination of this pieces. To date, 10 types of pottery vessels have been identified, with their variants, divided into closed and open forms. ROIG, J.
